About Left For Dead
Left for Dead is a modern indie record shop situated on Wyle Cop in Shrewsbury. We stock new releases and back catalogue on vinyl, as well as a curated selection of books and gifts. Our aim is to carry an exciting and eclectic range. Essentially, if we like it, we'll stock it. *We do not currently stock used or second hand*.
Owner Andy Haddon has been working in record shops for almost thirty years, in a career that has taken him across the UK, managing shops for HMV, Fopp and Rise. In 2012, six months into a year long, mind boggling career break, in the back of a camper van somewhere in Western Australia, the idea for Left for Dead was born.
Arriving back in the UK in 2013, the first Left For Dead shop opened in Birmingham and quickly gained a reputation for its unique offer and memorable in store performances; Goddamn, Mutes, Hafdis Huld, Tiny Leaves, Hoopla Blue, The Trail Of Thomas Love, Schnauser, Every Thread, Baby Godzilla, The King's Pistol, Scott Matthews, Ethan Johns and The Coal Porters are just some of the artists who played in the shop.
The Shrewsbury shop opened in July 2015.
